Anyway, before you can move forward, you need to get the tickets for tonight’s date. You try to call Carol but it goes to voicemail, it’s not surprising, so you left the request. You get a text immediately from her, explaining how much she hates talking over the phone, and then sends you two VIP tickets for her charity concert for the city’s reconstruction. That’s nice of her. The charity, not the tickets, those she owed you.
With that out of the way, you walk up to Terry who was still waiting by the building’s entrance. You say hi to each other before delving into different matters.
“What brings you here?” You’re curious.
“It’s been a while since I’ve heard from you, so I thought I’d pay a visit.” Terry casually smiles. “I hope you don’t mind.”
“Eh, I welcome it, what kind of friend would I be if I didn’t?” You say as you two start walking towards the station. “But to go to the trouble to come here, I didn’t know you had it in you. You live on the other side of the city.”
“Actually, I stayed the night at a friend’s house. Why am I acting like you don’t know Soh? He lives nearby enough that this wasn’t a detour.” Terry has his wires crossed. “I had to take my chances. I was worried you wouldn’t be here, hoho.”
“I try not to live a single minute more than I have to inside school.” You admit that you live on the edge.
“That explains why you never joined a club.” Terry nods.
“Doesn’t help that I have my hands full at the moment doing a lot of random stuff.” You’re one busy boy.
“I can tell! Sammi always complains that Scarlet has been spending a lot of time with you lately.” Terry says.
“And what have you been up to lately?” You hope this question doesn’t lead you to a rabbit hole of conspiracy theories.
“Busy with art, studying, helping with the family business, having sex with Sammi. You’re not the only one with a lot on his plate!” Terry retorts all nonchalantly.
