When in doubt, start with tents first. Then more secure structure.
I'd like to get a good look at the sharecroppers farm. Yes its far from the strip, but evidently on the main map it should still be in the downtown area of Vegas (the blown up parts away from the strip anyway). So maybe there's some old ruins that could be more easily converted than having to build a whole log cabin.
And even then, if it really is out in open ground, wastelanders are pretty great at building buildings out of scrap (the sharecropper barns are basically that and tents)
Actually, desu, in the game there already is a sharecropper barracks lol. Dunno if it's present here.
Regards to the railroad out of old minecarts, would it be that complicated to just take rails out of the ground wholesale and plop them down leading to the farmstead?
