<span class="mu-s">"ENOUGH."</span> You stomp your foot HARD onto the floor. For a split second, crackles of faint reddish-pink sparks of psychic energy linger on the spot your foot impacted. The cat (well, fox) fighting immediately stops. All eyes are on you now. "Look. I don't care what rich people spat your families are in. Act your age and focus on the bigger task here. We are here to HELP this business out, Kana."
"Help?" Kana's expression contorts into a sneer. "I'm doing quite a good enough job keeping this operation running. All offense meant but I don't believe you are the type to offer business advice anyways.
Adam simply shakes his head in disagreement, "She might look like a junkie schizophrenia but this isn't her first rodeo with helping a business." Wow, fuck you too.
"Casey already told us everything about what's going on too. We know you're bleeding money. You can be honest with us, we really do want to help!" Benjamin pleads to the fox headed woman. "I know it must be stressful-"
Kana instantly cuts off Benjamin with a sharp 'tsk'. "Do you think you could actually do anything to help? I've tried everything to keep this bleeding husk of a business running-" She grumbles under her breath. "Fine, fine! I admit it! This place is hemorrhaging money! Happy?"
"Again, how?" Max tries her best to suppress her smug tone of voice. "Casinos are pure cash generating machines. Isn't the house always meant to win?"
"I would get having low margins if you were in the food industry. You would lure in people with cheap prices so more would visit but..." Adam grumbles to himself. "Seems like a shoddy way to run this place."
"Not when the 'House' is a fully grown man who still pretends he's a cowboy! He hasn't lived in R-Corp's district for half a decade, let alone worked there!" Kana snarls with barely restrained spite in her voice. <<span class="mu-b">"Yet why am I still struggling to make this work? Sunk cost? A decade with someone does that..."</span>> "It's like he doesn't understand how any of this is supposed to operate!"
"Wait. Adam, low margins, right? Is that actually how he operates things? I keep hearing stuff about 'fairness' and hell, I saw a Dealer get dragged out because he was cheating." You omit the part where you were the reason he got kicked out, of course.
"You would be correct, miss...?" "Nicole." "Nicole, yes." Kana lifts her head up, resting her now empty hands on her desk. "You see how this place was packed wall to walk with gamblers? Even moreso than other casinos? That's because he does everything in his power to make this place 'alluring' without considering the cost."
"Hiring airheaded employees because customers find them cute?" She jabs a finger at Casey, who quickly slumps over with a frown at the remark. "Rigging the slot machines to give more than they can take because 'random chance isn't fair'? Refusing to let the Dealers cheat in order to get an edge? I could list dozens of things he's done to ruin our margins!"
