You raised an eyebrow at her. “Aren’t you a little young to be selling drugs in a hotel in Las Vegas?”
She flashed a cheeky smile. “Why, yes. Yes, we are.”
“You are.” Benga dryly corrected.
“Didn’t anyone ever tell you to stay away from drugs and stay in school?” you asked.
Her smile turned innocent at the drop of a hat. “Really? I always thought it was ‘Stay in drugs, and stay away from school’.”
You gave her an unamused look. She wiggled the patch enticingly in your direction.
“I’m kidding! I had an education, but it was a bit…unorthodox to say the least.” she added. “So, you want it or what?”
You pushed it away. “Sorry, but I’m not into that sort of thing. Does Gloria know that you’re pushing this stuff on her turf?”
Araña shrugged slightly, but didn’t let go of the black patch.
“She doesn’t really complain, so long as I don’t do it too often. I have a limited supply, so I really only sell it to people that’d get the most out of it.” she explained. “It’s a combat stim. A bit too potent for your average junkie, but great for people that need an extra boost every now and again.”
“Yeah, well I don’t need it, and you definitely don’t need to be selling it.” you shot back.
Araña clicked her tongue and pocketed the patch, looking slightly annoyed. “What’s the big deal? I’m not selling to junkies. Just rich pricks with a lot of money.”
You raised an eyebrow.
“You’re one of the cool ones, though!” she said as an afterthought.
“Smooth.”
Araña turned to glare at her friend. “Look, I don’t plan to make a career out of it. It’s just another means to an end. A good gig that’ll get us some cash, so we can move onto the next one.”
What will you say?
>”You need to have standards, even in our line of work. A line that you absolutely won’t cross.”>”Do you actually know what this stuff does to people? It could have long-term side-effects, or cause allergic reactions or something.”>”Yeah, but how does your partner feel about all this? She doesn't seem too excited to be selling designer drugs.”>”Do yourself a favor and ditch your stash. There are better ways to make money out here.”>”Have you ever thought about branching out with your employers? I know some people who could use your skills for something more decent than selling drugs.”>Write-in.Pastebins:
