>>5445482>>5445512Feeling like both kids could learn some lessons in humility, you attempt to coax them into different lessons in the same speech:
"Isidro can hardly lose much when he never had much to begin with, Schierke. Consider the reason why he protects himself with his detached aloofness."
"Yeah, what he said!" Isidro has no idea what aloofness means, if he did, he would probably be mad that you indirectly called him stupid, but Schierke appears to understand as she sighs and considers his upbringing.
"Now don't get cocky either, Isidro. Empathy is the greatest trait of all true knights You’re doing better about that than you used to, just keep striving to improve your mind in addition to your body. The greatest fighters exploit their knowledge as much as their skill. That also includes treating situations with different degrees of seriousness."
"What did I just say?" Schierke rubs her nose, feeling proud of herself.
Thee two are more fated to fight and disagree than Griffith and Guts...
"Anyway, I suppose checking Isidro's tricks wouldn't take too long, what do you wish to show me?" You decide to give him a listen.
"Ya see, I remember when we both were doing very well with our weapon combo against the crocs, so I was thinking: What if we tried combining more our weapons and seeing the cool effects it brought us? You think we could do something like a fire tornado? Or maybe make rain from boiling all water from the ocean?"
"You're making it sound a lot easier than it actually is..." Schierke mutters the difficulty in combining the power of so many different elementals at the same time in harmony.
"I'm just spit balling here, but since Vlad is so good with plants and all, what's the harm in learning some cool things to do together? Since Guts is the only one who hasn't gotten an elemental for himself aside from the armor, I'm sure even he would do a flip when seeing what I can do."
"What's your obsession with surpassing him? You're not even close to what he can do, not that anyone would wish to use that armor..."
"Look, I've accepted that I'm small, alright? But Morgan told me that's not a bad thing if I can make the most out of it."
"Oh, do tell. What's your grand plan if you fought Guts?" Schierke sarcastically asks.
"Take his arm off! Easy! I'm sure he would die from it"
"That would be extremely painful--"
"Yeah, but he's a big guy--"
"--For you."
"...Oh."
For some reason, you can't help but hear Puck chuckling to himself as Isidro frowns.
"Say Vlad, who's the strongest: You or Guts? Who'd win in a duel?" Isidro's curiosity quickly makes him recover from the joke at his expense.
