Most companies try to fill up as much of their district territory as possible with large sprawling urban sectors and suburbs. Even I-Company only has large swatches of unoccupied land since no one else wanted them.
The town you find yourself is in small. Really small. There's hardly more than twenty wooden buildings scattered around the place with large stretches of land in between each one of them. The train station you came on is equally quaint; There's the platform you're standing on, a few scattered seats, and two small wooden buildings resting on it but that's it.
Peering through the back window of the train cabin you were on, there's naught but sand, dunes and distant mountains.
The town itself has the most bare basic amenities for a desert-bound town. A few houses, a church at the far western end of town, some basic stores and a schoolhouse. You think you also spotted a graveyard, saloon, and bank.
Beyond that? All that's left to fill up the town is sand and dust.
There's a decent amount of people wandering throughout town to do the boring necessities of life. They're dressed in simple, practical clothes such as light cotton shirts and leather vests, hats to protect from the sun, boots and gloves etc. You don't spot any wearing ponchos though.
Everyone in your group has their attention is drawn when they notice people riding down the streets on horses! Honest to god horse! You see a lot of dogs, cats, racoons and birds but horses? Those are a damn rarity, not a lot of places in the City have them.
The sun keeps beaming down with an innocent malice. The haze was one thing but you can tell this sun is going to be a pain in the ass!
ENIVORMENTAL HAZARD - DESERT SUN
-The heat of the sun makes physical activities far more exhausting. FLESH, TALENT and VIOLENCE checks will be harder.
-When traveling, you and your allies have a chance to take FLESH damage. This can be negated by passing successful FLESH checks.
Clover lets out a low whistle. "Damn. Been a long time since I had the time to come back here."
Max whimpers as she tries to keep her sweat-soaked hair from falling down her face. "At least it's not D-Corp. Why does it have to be so hot here???"
"A lot of subdistricts here border the Wastes." Kiara smugly smirks at seeing everyone sweating like dogs. Android bastard. "You have to get used to it.
"hehe. i like sun :>" Casey, still high on SOMTOIN, would look up at it if not for Benjamin shoving her dead to stare at the ground.
Time to pick somewhere to get some basic information about. You probably won't stick around here for too long. You're 99% sure she won't be here.
What do you want to do, Nicole? Pick up to three.
>C'mon. Let's head to the Saloon. Get some liquid courage for your allies and hey, maybe some drunkards get loose-lipped and spill some info.
>[KIARA ALLY + SEEKER ALLY] Try to wander throughout this ol' town to see if anything interesting pops up. (You'll roll 3d100 to determine what weird shit pops up.)
