“Warmblood’s Gods side with Lucian.” The creature spoke as the Black Knight finished his tale, “Tee-Ny-Tyny cannot say if Lucian was upon tablet or if it was Kroak who learned of Lucian. What Tee-Ny-Tyny knows was that Lucian is of interest to the Slann and Lucian’s divinity.”
Both were reasonable. Lucian already had enough divine help upon this journey that it was reasonable that another set of Gods sent someone to come help him upon this coming battle. Yet the other was likely, that so many interests were involved with the Black Knight that someone far away took notice.
If it was the latter, Lucian reasoned it must mean the person in question was either a Priest who spoke directly with their gods or someone who was mighty in magic that they bordered upon being a god. If it was the latter then Lucian would be thankful that the Lizards chose to help him instead of staying back or to hinder.
“Thank you for meeting me then, Tee-Ny-Tyny.” The name Lucian spoke felt foreign to the touch. It must have been whatever method the Lizard was able to speak with Lucian, but the name was obviously within the dialect of their kind instead of that of man.
“Yes, potential agreement to be reached.” The Lizardman opened its mouth agape to show the prospect of the discussion, “Lucian and Tee-Ny-Tyny have same goals, stop rising undeath. Tee-Ny-Tyny and Bok will work with Lucian to put down Demi-God. Both align, so further transaction not needed.”
“I… would be thankful.” Lucian said as he expressed his true thoughts on the matter, “But before I give my word I need to know, what are you? You say that you are Children of the Old Ones, but the Dwarfs say they are children of their gods as well.”
The Lizard nodded to those words, “Tee-Ny-Tyny is Skink, Bok is Kroxigor. Both are from Grand City of Itza, First City of Lustria and World. Warmbloods of the Vortex call us Lizardmen.”
