“No. A cake needs all the time it requires.” You solemnly state. “As long as Emily is okay with it, I’ll bake it!”
Eyes turn to your date, Emily didn’t expect to be part of the equation. In fact, she was content just watching this mess unfold due to the guilt associated with ruining the date to the point of no return, even if it isn’t really her fault at all.
“No peer pressure.” You glare at both idols.
“You want me to agree to these hijinks or not?” Carol is confused by your actions. She won’t be the last person to feel that way.
“Stop running your mouth and let Emily talk.” Vortexia doesn’t see the point in listening to you for extended periods of time.
“If the cake won the duel, how could I stand in the way?” Emily is chill.
“It poisoned someone.” Carol shakes her head as she reminds everyone.
“It didn’t!” You won’t let this slander stand!
“Regardless, what’s there to lose?” Emily feels like it could be fun.
“I mean, I haven’t mentioned the potential side-effects.” You adjust your glasses nervously. “You already know about the Confession part, but one of the judges kind of floated in the air after eating it. Still have no idea why it happened.”
“...Told you it was poisoned.” Carol won’t let this slide.
“I just want everyone to be aware!” You are not a sleazeball! “Unlike someone with her brainwashing music who didn’t tell anyone beforehand…”
“I know it’s not the time to drop excuses yet. But I wasn’t sure this was happening, okay?” YUNG-P rolls her eyes.
“You all act like magic exists…” Vortexia finds this suspicious. You have openly stated weird shenanigans, if she hasn’t caught on, it’s on her.
“Anyway, I need a place to cook!” You proclaim. “And someone who can assist me!” You extend your hand to Emily.
“M-Me?” Emily’s eyes start sparkling.
“Denied. Only Johnny can cook.” Carol cuts this off. “I know the extent of your abilities. I don’t want any special tricks from someone else.”
“He had assistance for the other one.” Emily points out.
“Too bad. I’m providing you with everything else you need, I’m not going to give you all the advantages.” Carol shakes her head. “Staff!!! We need a kitchen!” She shouts like a brat giving orders. Someone opens the door, acknowledges the request, and closes it. “Hey! You forgot to ask about the ingredients!” Carol shouts for the staff to return.
The seemingly overworked lady asks what ingredients you need.
