Your five actual allies and your hesitantly accepted sixth ally all begin to approach the building's front entrance.
You quickly scramble to pull out your RADIO R-3-121-5 to contact Naomi. The moment the connection is established, you waste no time blabbering your worries to her.
"Okay so we have a spook working with us, apparently she wants to work with us because she's bored fuck if I know, she wants a NAP and a temporary alliance until we're done with a target-"
You keep blabbering and blabbering until Naomi eventually cuts you off by sharply clearing her throat. She doesn't say anything for the longest time but she slowly begins to explain what she can to the best of her ability.
"Quite unusual. You are certain she came alone, I presume. I will also admit that my job was...boring at the best of times when I worked for them. Information harvesting is not a particularly enthralling task unless it is of an interesting target."
"We do not offer deals like this without SOME way to benefit no matter what was picked. I am uncertain as to what she would've picked but she likely expected and planned for you bringing her along. She likely knew fighting you would be pointless, so she bargained."
"Let's say that what you have is not an ally nor an enemy. She will have the same disposition to you as the average cat has to its owner."
"Begrudging tolerance because the owner can provide something it wants?"
"Exactly."
"I can guarantee that right now, whatever she wants out of you, you are providing it to her at this very moment. <span class="mu-g">She is on your side.</span> <span class="mu-b">I would highly recommend, however, that you NEVER let her out of sight. Have at least half of the group with her at any time.</span>"
"It is unlikely she will be able to repress her instincts, even if she is genuine in her wishes to help and not simply lying to you, if left alone. Keep that in mind." Hrm. Makes sense, you weren't planning on leaving her alone anyways. That does limit your ability to split up, though.
"The most I can say about this odd partnership you're in? For now, I would recommend giving her an item or two. Doesn't matter what, it is more the gesture she'll care about. Perhaps she will return the favor."
The line goes dead after that.
So the general idea is that the deal leans slightly more in "good for you" than "bad for you" but you should be wary about her due to how fickle Spooks can be. She also seems to be implying that the 'boredom' explanation falls in line with her own experience and has to be somewhat truthful.
Good to know? You suppose you can't expect Naomi to be able to perfectly read her when you explicitly made sure to not have the spook in earshot within the radio. Naomi isn't omniscient after all.
Whatever. Guess you have to catch up with the others. You rush into the building right after them.

The ground floor is actually pretty small all things considered.
