Lucian did not hesitate to give his answer to the peasant, “I will be going there, alone.”
“I see, then your wisdom is great.” The Peasant said as he gave a small bow.
With a tug of his reigns Lucian brought Nightshade closer to Bok and the giant lizard’s rider. Tyny had turned so that the other eye of his was now focusing on the approaching Knight. His tongue flicked up and licked the eye, just another reminder that the person who Lucian saw to work with was not human.
Upon his approach Lucian spoke in a low voice, “Tyny, can you watch the Peasant for me. If he is ally with brigands or bandits, I don’t want them to have a jump on me.”
“Yessss.” The Lizard’s tongue became closer to a slyther.
There was a subtle spark of a primal fear for Lucian there for the motion reminded him of a snake. The little vipers that would strike at him if he made a mistake of any kind around their nest.
Yet here Lucian wondered if it was closer to the reptile keeping its eye on prey. Waiting for the right moment to strike.
The fear that he experienced did not do anything to Lucian though. Death did not hold its grip upon him, “Thank you.”
The Skink did not respond nor nod its head. The beast simply keeping to its duty as it was requested and desired. Unless something drastic was to happen the Lizard would show the single mindedness to the task at hand.
“May your gods shine on you!” Cheered Adok as Lucian walked away from the Lizardman.
“Aye, thank you!” The Peasant called out as he steered his steed towards the forest.
There was no other words from anyone. Lucian simple walked into the forest without any direction or suggestion. If the Peasant was a brigand then he shall simply kill the bandits. If not…
Lucian looked back to see that the forest had blocked his vision.
That peasant might be something far greater than what Lucian could imagine.
