You shake hands with the Flash. “I’m Nao’Lann.” You say.
“Pretty strong grip you got there, Nolan.” The Flash responds with a sly smile on him.
“It’s Nao’Lann.” You insist. The Flash shrugs with that smile still on his face. “Sorry.” He says.
The earthling female is the second to approach. She has a long, black mane and eyes of steel. She takes your hand as well, and you can feel from her grip that she is no slouch. “I’m Wonder Woman. Diana of Themyscira.”
You nod. The next to reach out is the green lantern. He shakes your hand and you stare at his ring for a moment. “I’m John. A green lantern. Have you heard of the green lanterns?”
“I have, though I’ve never met one.” You reply.
“Good. So you know we keep the peace wherever we stay. I hope you do the same.”
“I’ve not intention of causing trouble to anyone.” You say.
He nods, his expression seems to relax a little and he even lets a smile out.
Then comes the green alien. He offers his hand. “Martian Manhunter, J'onn J'onzz.”
A Martian? You’ve heard of those. Telepaths and with long lifespans, though they were supposedly extinct. Thankfully, your mind should be shielded from most of his powers, though it does not seem he has used any. You nod again.
And second to last is the Thanagarian. Her eyes are clearly looking at you all over, seeking for any hints that might imply that you recognised her for what she is: A member of a warmongering civilization hellbent on destroying their rivals, the Gordanians. What was she doing here?
“Hawkgirl. Shayera for friends.” She says, stretching her own hand to meet yours.
For now, you decide to simply nod, though you can’t help but show a smile, your first here. She is quick to notice and frowns back, walking away from you.
Then there’s the last one, the one with the bat suit. He does not approach you. “Batman.” He says, dry as a desert.
You nod towards him. He turns around and walks away. The green lantern and the Flash look at each other and shrug.
After you’re done with his group, the Kryptonian approaches you. “I’m Clark Kent. Superman.” He says, his hand meets yours. It’s a soft yet strong touch. He’s being very careful with his strength. You wonder how fighting with him would go.
“Good to meet all of you.” You say.
The Martian speaks. “If you don’t mind, Nao’Lann, could I reach into your mind to see if your intents are truly good?”
Superman intercedes, putting a hand on the Martian’s shoulder. “Hey now, I don’t think probing our guest’s mind is the nicest thing to do right now. He hasn’t attacked us, he came straight towards the planet without hiding himself. I’m sure we can at least let him rest aboard the station, in the guestroom, then we can ask him questions.”
Hawkgirl speaks up next. “Are you forgetting that he’s strong enough to straight up fly through space for… how long have you flown through space?”
You don’t reply.
“See? I’m sure that if it’s a home he’s looking for, he won’t mind the mind probing.”
