The wind blows through you again. The air up here is a lot colder, presumably because of how high it is. It helps to shield your group from the oppressive sun, even if only for a bit.
It doesn't take long for your other allies + AA to join up with everyone else, though AA keeps her distance from everyone else. It's clear she's not really in the mood to be buddy buddy with the rest of you. So be it. You're just glad she's not getting herself into trouble.

You notice that Casey looks...different. The drug she took back in D-Corp seems to have worn off by now. Drat.
>SOMTOIN ZETA has worn off of Casey! She loses her ALTERED BOONS and regains her ORIGINAL BOONS and her STATS return to normal!
>However, you will unlock alternate versions of those BOONS as options when her RAPPORT raises!
The lack of Lapis is noticed by everyone real quick but no one really wants to address it. In fact, everyone's clearly relieved to see that she's out of the picture now. You can't deny, you feel the same way but you feel a bit of kinship with her now. Oh well, not the focus now.
"This has been a bitch of a day, hasn't it?" You say to no one in particular.
"Fucking tell me about it." Kiara sighs, leaning against the wall you're standing by. "I can't say I hate it, though.
[BLOSSOMING HEART] "It's not really that bad, Nicole." Max gazes out over the edge of the roof. She's smiling ear-to-ear like a fucking idiot. "I could go without the fighting, sure, but the sights. The smells. The new faces. It's...look. I get a lot of people are jaded these days but isn't this stuff exciting for you guys?"
"Ain't nothin' I haven't seen before." Clover and AA both snort at the same time.
"But I get where yer coming from, lass." Clover moves over to the edge alongside everyone else. Some are hesitant to do so but some light ribbing from Max was enough to get them to check it out.
The view would be beautiful from up here if there was actually anything to really see from this high up. A lot of it is just barren desert and small desert settlements as far as the eye can see. It's not really what's down there that's important than the fact you're up this high at all. You doubt many, if any, Cityslickers manage to get this high up.
Even AA's expression softens when she sees it. Though it's hard to tell for what reason. Perhaps there is no reason aside from the sense of awe washing over her over the beautiful if barren view. "Damn." She doesn't say much else than that.
After everyone had a long good look at it, you step away from the edge of the 4000~ foot building you're on. The sheer relief washing over everyone has loosened up their bodies, yes, but all of them seem to be a lot more talkative now. You look over at Kiara for a moment and the two of you share a long, knowing look with each other.
There doesn't need to be a long, drawn out speech over your relationship. After everything the two of you have been through?
