If you had to choose, you’d probably store it in a briefcase. It wasn’t exactly the most inconspicuous thing in the world, but it certainly did provide a whole new edge to your fancy outfit. You thought it made you look a little more dangerous. Not a bad appearance to have in the City of Sin.
You’d have to make sure that no one could easily find it if they ever searched you, though. It was a good thing that you knew a thing or two about smuggling. If you placed the suit in a vacuum sealed bag and hid it in the inner lining of the briefcase, you could probably get away with carrying it out in public. Your utility belt would be a bit trickier.
Maybe you could have the bottom unfold into a hidden compartment? You’d have to do some experimenting. At the very least, you had some time before the others were going to be ready. And while you waited, you could enjoy the beautiful view outside your window.
—--------
When the others were ready, you waited a few minutes, checked that your equipment was stored away properly, and made for the main lobby. You tried your very best not to glance at the white-haired woman having an animated conversation with one of the hotel staff, and instead kept your eyes glued to the casino as you stepped outside.
The five of you had agreed to meet at the Bellagio Hotel, where the show was going to be held. It was technically a rival business to Gloria’s, but you doubted that she’d even notice that you and the others went. If anything, Anastasia’s movements were probably the only ones she was even remotely concerned about. New people came and went every day, and you were no more suspicious than the average every-man.
—-----
As soon as you arrived at the Bellagio, you loitered around the lobby for a bit before running into the rest of the Desperados. You all treated it as if it were a complete coincidence that you all just happened to run into one another, and fell into your usual casual rhythm in record timing.
Thankfully, no one gave you any shit about the briefcase, so you kept it with you at all times. You couldn’t see how Prowler and Felicia were concealing their uniforms, but you weren’t about to ask in public.
When Anastasia entered the lobby, no one acknowledged her beyond a cursory glance. Instead, you sent her a message telling her where you were going to be sitting, and entered the auditorium for the show. You and the others filed into the room along with everyone else, carefully positioning ourselves close enough to chat, but far enough away to throw off anyone who might be trying to gather information from the audience.
It was tedious work for something so simple, but you weren’t trying to take any chances when you were on someone else’s turf. You would either have to play by their rules, or bend them just far enough for them to not take an interest in you.
