Casey manages to keep up the vacant customer service intact for now, "If there was any recent incident involving any of our sponsorships, I am sadly unaware of it! Our sponsors are quite happy for the most part-" She scrunches up her face with a look of intense concentration. "Nngh-"
Adam snaps his fingers at her, "Miss. Are you okay?"
"Fuh!" Casey snaps back to reality. "Sorry, sorry! I just remembered! Burgundy? We did see a man with that description a few days ago!" She shakes her head in an attempt to regain her focus. "<span class="mu-b">Our head accountant was the one who talked to him. He left in a huff after that.</span>"
Max raises an eyebrow. "Wait, huh? Did Clover know anything about this? Isn't he, like, the head honcho or something of this joint?"
"Uh huh! But, no, most of our sponsors go through her! She's the one who handles all of those fancy contracts! Clover usually leaves all of that fancy stuff to her!" Casey replies in a sing-song tone. "I sadly don't know a lot of details of what they talked about!"
It's all trailing back to this damn "Kana" figure somehow, huh? "Well, speaking about your sponsors, who DOES your casino associate with? I wanna know I'm spending my money in a trustworthy place!"
Casey's smile instantly swaps into a frown. Tears begin to well in the corner of her eyes, "O-of course we're tr-trustworthy! W-we only associate with the most t-t-t-trustworthy of people!" She almost loses her grip on her notepad. The hell is her deal?
[GULLIBLE] Benjamin immediately goes in to calm her down. He pats her on the back, "There there. We're sorry, okay? We don't have to talk about this if you don't want to." Benjamin turns to look at the group. "Let's choose another topic, okay-"
Ashley butts in, "Uh, no. Not until she tells us."
Benjamin scoffs, "Are we REALLY going to talk to a girl who's on the verge of tears?"
The glares the two are giving each other starts to suffocate the atmosphere of this conversation. While Max hesitates to say anything, Adam grits his teeth and steps in to break the conflict.
"Look. We're an associate of a sponsor who may or may not be interested in working for this place. We need to know this so we can assess the risk-benefit ratio of a potential arrangement. That's all."
Ashley and Benjamin scoff but decide it's not worth it to argue over this point, given how Casey instantly lightens back up. "Oh! In that case, we have four associates! A Mr. Foxtort, a Mr. Sukane, a Ms. Wiltshire, and a Ms. Anjaro!" You recognize none of those names but you see Max's expression sour almost immediately.
