[UNSTABLE] "$320? Do I look like a scared little girly girl to you? Huh? Huh?" Your mouth contorts into a smile that shows way too many teeth. You slam all of your money onto the table. "Double or nothing. Faggot."
Ashley tenses her shoulders up but with a LOT of reluctance, she places her money down as well. Your other allies surround the two of you as the next game starts. The Dealer damn near drools as he deals his cards out. One look into his mind can tell you <span class="mu-r">he's already rigged the deck somehow.</span>
You got a 4 and a 5. Ashley got a 3 and a 7, and the Dealer has a 8 and an Ace. as his hidden card. Damn, not good. "WELL! C'MON! HIT OR STAY? HIT OR STAY? HIT OR <span class="mu-s">FUCKING STAY?</span>"
"H-hit." Ashley calls out. You nod your head, "HIT!" You get a 5 and Ashley gets a 9. Damnit, that means that she needs an Ace somehow to not instantly brick herself. You can tell she pieced this together as well because she's sweating bullets. <<span class="mu-b">"Why did I agree to this? Bad odds, bad odds!"</span>>
"HIT. OR STAY?" The Dealer calls out again. You're the first to respond thanks to Ashley's hesitation, "HIT!" You get your card first and when you look at it, it's an Ace. "H-Hit." Ashley gets a 6. The Dealer's just about ready to realize Ashley's hand is bricked.
>14...
You were at a loss on how to turn this situation around, before you even realize where your hands are going, you quickly scarf down three random pills.
>24!
You need a distraction to swap the cards and you need one fast. You have no time to take anything else out of your inventory to throw and you doubt another ally could do something in time.
Distraction. Loud noise. You glance over at Ashley. Her baseball bat is right next to her seat.
You quickly nod your head at Ashley's baseball bat, which she was able to keep thanks to your smooth talking earlier. She notices the card in your hand and instantly understands what to do. She smacks the end of her baseball bat on the floor. The loud noise startles the Dealer just long enough for the two of you to swap your cards. 4+5+5+6 for you, 3+7+9+1 for Ashley.
<<span class="mu-b">"Father Above, I told Clover he should fix this damn place. I can't be dealing with MORE metal railings falling from the ceiling."</span>> "STAY!" "S-stay!" You and Ashley call out at the same time as he looks back.
<<span class="mu-b">"Feh. I already rigged the deck to make sure no one could beat me this round. Sorry, should've been less cocky."</span>> "Alright!" The Dealer quickly flips his cards to show to everyone at the table. You and Ashley reveal your cards as well. Everyone else at the table aside from you two has 19 or lower.
The Dealer stares at your two hands in utter bewilderment. "Huh?"
"What?" Ashley quickly regains her composure. "As long as we don't go over 21, and we beat your number, we win. Right?"
"I. Yes. You did win. But, uh, how did-?" The Dealer is having a hard time processing this.
"Luck?" You grin. "Now, give us our damn money. We're done here."
