“‘Our’?” he said, sounding a bit angry. “You’re bringing the girl.”
It clearly wasn’t a question, so you didn’t waste time dancing around the issue. “She knows more about this than either of us, and I don’t think Morbius would let us in without her being there.” you said. “I don’t know about you, but I’m in no mood to kick down the front door and open up a can of worms that I can’t close.”
Matt paused to consider this, before sighing deeply. “...Alright. Give me a time and place, and I’ll meet you there.” he said. “Come on, Misty. We’re cashing these chips in.”
You heard the other players protesting his decision, clearly having thought that they were about to steal the large pile of chips out from under his nose. You would’ve told him to be careful in the parking lot, but then you remembered who it was that you were talking to. You thanked him profusely, hung up and prepared to head out the door. You had some shopping to do.

Later that night, you were back in costume, staring at a nondescript building with a glowing, crimson neon sign on the front that read “Eternal”. You noticed that the “T” was in the shape of a cross, which admittedly, tickled your funny bone as you considered the implied irony of that gesture.
You spotted Matt approaching you from behind, now wearing all his armor and gear, plus the items that you requested he retrieve before coming here.
“...Was this really necessary?” he asked, showing you the Silver Crucifix/Knuckle Duster combo!
“Jesus, Matt! I was just joking earlier!” you confessed, laughing uncontrollably. “Where’d you even get those?”
He grunted and put them away. “I know a guy that does custom jobs for me on short notice. Should I not have brought them?”
“No, no! They’re perfect.” you said, trying to get your breathing back under control. “That is like, two anti-vamp weapons mixed into one. They only work in the hands of a true believer.”
Matt stared at you for a long moment, and then turned his head towards the building. “Hm. When do we go in?” he asked.
Before you could answer, your phone started ringing. It was your sister. Why was she calling now?
What will you do?
>Let it go to voicemail. You’ll call her back sometime later.
>Go somewhere far away and answer the call.
>Turn your phone off. You don’t need any distractions tonight.
>Write-in.
