>>5745748>>5745756>>5745758You close your eyes and focus. No, you heard her conversation with her dad on the previous day. She’s clearly only doing this to keep track of you, control you and-
“Don’t you want to be my friend, Elliot?” She whispers in your ear.
You snap your head back so fast you slam the back of it against the wall with a painful *thack*. But then she’s right there and whatever words you have simply spill out without any semblance of cohesion.
“Yes- ah, no- I mean, I don’t think your dad would-”
“My dad? Oh no, he’s fine with it,” she lies with a voice that does things to you. “But he’d be furious if he knew the rumors you’re spreading about me.”
“I- No- I didn’t-” you babble as
“But I could help you out with that, make sure he doesn’t hear,” she offers, still whispering in your ear, still breathing down your neck. “Do you want me to help you out, Little Elliot? All you have to do is promise to call me when you’re doing something about that little problem of yours. Do you want me to help you with your little problem, Little Elliot?”
“I really think-”
“This is the part where you say yes, Little Elliot.”
“I- uh- yes, but-”
“Good!” She says, pulling back and away from you, her tone completely changed from an instant before. Gone is the sultry voice, replaced by a cheery, happy chirp. “I’ll hold you to that!”
And then she scampers away into the halls.

It takes a few minutes for you to mentally recover.
What, in Merlin’s name, was that!? You think, still putting pieces of your dignity together. How on earth is that girl not on Slytherin?
Didn’t they say that Harry Potter was offered Slytherin? If that’s true, you could see the apple didn’t fall too far off the tree. It wasn’t what you’d call subtle, but… you can’t really criticize the effectiveness.
You straighten out your clothes and rearrange yourself into a semblance of a person before heading to class. The rest of the day, other than the brief moment where you berate your friends for abandoning you with a dangerous redheaded predator, is mostly uneventful, with professor Binns rambling on about the history of Wandlore, Professor Wallemby teaching the beginnings of the Bird-conjuring charm and an idiot Hufflepuff getting stung by a Glumbumble.
Finally, however, the classes end.
“So,” Raven asks. “What are we doing today? Research about your issue? Research about how to kill seventh year Gryffindors? Research how to seduce seventh year Gryffindors?”
“Shut up.”
“We could sneak out to the astronomy tower!” Taylor says. “Jupyter and Mars should be visible right beside each other today!”
How do you spend your night?
