>>5924420>>5925341Victory at the Dam
>The Coalition forces found themselves in a less-than-ideal situation, their own bombards battering them as they assaulted the dam. Undersupplied, officers suggested pulling their forces back, but the Militia Commander ordered the army to continue placing pressure on the dam. If they could not succeed here, then they could not succeed later.>Though outnumbered, the traitors had the benefit of the dam as a fortification as well as engaging undersupplied enemies. What seemed like an easy victory quickly turned into a panic as a single Coalition Cohort descended onto the dam on the right side, led by none other than Magnus Uila! Though undersupplied and tired from their march, Magnus Uila lead the Cohort at the front, crashing into the traitors. The battlefield became something like a domino, the Cohorts on the right side of the dam climbed over the top, forcing the traitors to the left.>The battle ended with the Coalition seizing the dam, the traitor cohorts being mostly slain or taken captive. The traitor Cohort at the reservoir disappeared, skulking away to strike another time, and supplies began to flow back into Coalition. Unfortunately, the battery was lost, destroyed before the traitors fled. The Coalition begins to set up a new headquarters sitting on the dam, overlooking the Great Swamp. After Battle Report:
>1 Cohort>11 Cohorts, Recovering.A recovering Cohort requires a phase to return to fighting strength.
>1 Cohort (Elite), Recovering>1 Cohort (Defender), RecoveringTwo normal cohorts had to be disbanded to help the rest of the Coalition recover.
Traitors:
>1 Traitor Cohort, Prisoners. Requires half a unit of supply to nourish. You can do as you will with this cohort of prisoners, such as setting them free, executing them, or putting them into labor. You probably won't have any luck recruiting them though.
>As the coalition settles into their new camp, Insightful Lieutenant chimes in.<span class="mu-i">"We've accomplished the first step of our mission to save the Emperor. But I think this was just the easiest part; the Emperor is held somewhere deep in the Great Swamp. It would be difficult for us to march our army as one, trees still dominate this country. As we advance further into the Great Swamp, our supply lines will stretch thin and we might have to forage off the land. I hear the Great Swamp is bountiful if you can find its villages hidden in the woods.
Another thing of note, these three Cohorts were not the only ones the traitors had. More may be mobilizing as we speak, if we don't act fast our momentum may slow down right here."</span>
It will be up to you guys whether you want to send a cohort or more off, or scout yourselves and get more personally involved.
