And boy were the snacks splendid. Several types of small cakes and breads, croissants and other pastries. Washing it down with some watered down wine, you started to feel refreshed.
And as you ate, you told her about how you had felt during your spell. How all the frustration and struggle seemingly had vanished now. You felt so light, like a heavy rock had fallen off your shoulders.
"I still can't believe that you are mundane, the progress you have shown tells the opposite." Jan told you.
"What can I say, I never showed any signs of having an aptitude for magic. Sure my sister is a mage, but one of the other court mages would have noticed something at some point." You said and shrugged. "I have been just working really hard… maybe too hard."
Jan gave you a faint smile and rubbed your shoulder.
"And if you keep up this pace, who knows how good of a mage you will become." She said to you.
"Thank you for believing in me." You replied.
"No, thank you for showing me how incredible you are." Jan said and smiled.
An awkward silence fell between the two of you. Both of you knew that sooner than later you would need to have this talk.
"I will leave tomorrow… so we should probably talk about us… about our thing." Jan said to you.
"Yeah, you are right." You replied.
But what exactly, there were so many things to talk about? She had told you she loved you, will you continue being lovers or what? What about the sex you have had each day, has she made sure to not get pregnant? What of Calia? What of the rumours around you? You didn't know where to start.

>Write inQM: No decisions yet, I just want things to talk about with her. To see what Jandice is thinking. I will give this plenty of time, so the next update comes tomorrow evening.
