I'm not a hypocrite; the topic isn't too relevant to me. As long as the premise is different enough from existing (active) quests, it barely matters. Something as broad as "sci-fi" or "fantasy" especially is a complete nonissue.
Unless you're talking about writing fatigue, in which case I'd strongly recommend against writing 2+ stories that cover similar ground at the same time because it's horribly inefficient and will quickly lead to burnout.pic vaguely rel
