Emily stops holding you, steps forward and continues her giggling fit. She is comfortable with what she did. In response, you lean forward, gently hold her chin, and stare her right in the eyes. The laughter comes to a sudden stop, she’s looking right back at you with a hint of bewilderment as her rosy cheeks start claiming more territory.
“You got cold feet, didn’t you?” You begin teasing back with a smirk on your face.
“U-Uhm…” Emily looks away, she’s unprepared. That doesn’t last long as she turns her eyes on you again. “I can’t get ahead of myself, we have a concert to go to...”
“It sounds to me like you’re backtracking.” You gently chuckle.
“The kiss comes at the end of the date.” Emily pretends to be an expert. She slowly pulls your hand away from her face, holds it in hers, then stares at them together.
“Oh, were you thinking of kissing me already?” You raise an eyebrow.
“If it’s that obvious, why aren’t *you* doing anything?” Emily giggles as she tidies up your shirt. “Wouldn’t it be that you’re the one with cold feet, hmmm?”
Emily throws the ball back in your court. You need to dribble out of the situation perfectly! W-Why are you using basketball analogies? You hate basketball!
How do you respond?
>“Just beware, when the time comes, I’m going to kiss you.” Wiggle those damn eyebrows. You can’t miss the concert.
>“I guess none of us thinks this park is the best place to smooch.” Joke around. Defuse the situation.
>“Hey, I asked first, that’s no fair.” You won’t allow her to use your cheap tactics against you!
>Kiss Emily.
