You tip your hat, "Thanks for the help, miss!" You turn around on the stool, and duck your head.
You whip your head out, and let your hair flow freely, before putting on your hat again. You turn back to Peppa, and flip to a new page of your notes. You give her a smile. "Now, I feel we've talked about Gohan at length, no?"
Peppa squirms. "There's more to it, the next girl was-"
You place a hand on her shoulder. "It's okay."
"Huh?"
"We're gonna take a break from talking about Gohan."
She looks relieved... but despite herself, she asks, "But you're here to find out what happened to Gohan, right?"
You let out a sympathetic sigh. "Someone caused a lot of pain to Gohan, it's true." You rub her shoulder. "He also caused you pain."
Peppa shakes her head, "No, no, he's my brother, this is just a spat, it's not as important as-"
"It is important." You pat her twice, then pull back. "And we don't have to dwell on him. At least, not for now. A little break. We do have other aspects to consider."
Peppa wipes her face with a cloth, then nods. "Okay. Like what?"
You smile. "Well, what did you do after that? On, lessee, February 15th, the snow day?"
Peppa shrugs. "Oh, not much. I was feeling upset, so I called my therapist, but she was still on vacation. So then I decided to go see..." Peppa pauses, then smiles. "I headed over Cocoa to talk with her and feel better! But I was worried about teleporting, given, y'know. So I flew to her school instead. Missed seeing her before school, so we decided to eat together during lunch.
"Oh, you two had a... lupper together?" you say, smirking.
"Heh. Yeah, and I told her about bro's bull...loney, and also vented about how everyone was mad at me for something completely out of my hands."
You nod. "Did you tell Cocoa about Izumi?"
Peppa shakes her head, then laughs. "Ha, when I told Cocoa I couldn't tell anyone, not even my brother, not even her? She understood."
You feel the hands holding onto your legs squeeze in frustration. To soothe those qualms, before that rears its head into this delicate situation, you ask, "Though you were going to tell someone eventually, right?"
"Of course!" she declares. Then, a bit less confidently, she rubs her arm and says, "My therapist was never available though, and every time I would suggest Izumi let someone know the concerns she had, and the pain she was inflicting to better herself, she would refuse."
You frown. "Uh, hold on, your therapist was Never available?"
Peppa frowns. Then, she shrugs, and lets out a single chuckle. "She's on vacation!"
"HMMM..." you hum, cheerfully nodding as your body quivers with anger.
