As he plummeted towards the ground, he raised his wrist and fired a grappling hook at the bottom of the walkway. He was sorely disappointed when one of the disks circled back around and sliced the cable clean in two. His eyes went wide, and he reached into his utility belt to toss something else in her direction. They were dark gray projectiles that slightly resembled bottle caps. When they made contact with the metal grate, they stuck fast and beeped twice. Foxhole’s smile disappeared, and she started running in the same direction that she had been before. The metal caps detonated, and the sheer force of the explosion shook the entire catwalk, throwing Foxhole off balance, and ultimately, over the edge, right along with Prowler. Both of them fell, but you weren’t able to see the end result.
At this point, Silvermane’s men had recovered, grabbed some weapons, and were fighting right alongside Glass. With all the flying glass shards and bullets, you were having some trouble locating Halfstep. That was, until Flint sent him flying with a punch that probably should’ve killed him. But he just got back up like nothing happened.
Before he could try to recapture the maggia don and his daughter, you and Cat were already on him again. The two of you traded blows with him, avoiding his lethal, hidden weapons, and struggling against his annoying ability. With so many weapons laying on the ground, he had a seemingly endless arsenal at his disposal. Combine that with Foxhole’s ability, and it was no wonder why these two were a deadly team. The only reason that you remotely stood a chance was because of the Prowler dogged persistence in keeping the two of them separate. She’d toss him a weapon every now and again, but the three of you did your best to shut that down as soon as possible.
His ability to teleport beside his companion and trade places with her in order to mix up their combinations didn’t make this task any easier.
Luckily for you, the fight was decided when Max managed to sneak behind Foxhole and shock her with a high voltage cable. The jolt incapacitated her, and distracted Halfstep long enough for you to deliver a punch tat cracked against his jaw and put him flat on his ass.
After that, all that was left was the cleanup.

Once you’d made sure that your employers were safe, you finished off the rest of the enemy’s forces and tied up the two mercs that you’d just defeated. You kept them separate, just in case Halfstep decided to try something smart. A steady, low voltage current was running through the teleporter, somehow, inhibiting his ability to jump accurately. How Max knew anything about this was beyond you, but you appreciated the assist. What you did find strange was the engineer’s insistence on being paid for his extra services. That earned him a scowl from Silvrmane, but he didn’t voice his complaints.
A dry chuckle drew everyone’s attention back to Halfstep, and more than a few guns turned in his direction.
