Well, speaking about her burdening Benjamin with anomalies, you might as well keep talking about them. "So, Adam, you said something about them being locked into a mindset? Mind clarifying?"
Adam waits for a waitress to refill his glass and to take another sip before responding. "Yeah. Take my advice with a grain of salt but those things aren't 'sentient' as we understand it. They have a very limited world view that only makes sense to them. <span class="mu-b">You have to play along with it in order to get it to do what you want.</span>"
"Like the anomaly before cared about its appearance and blending in with others. That's all it could really think or talk about. <span class="mu-b">If you refuted what it stands for, like saying that none of its outfits would appease anyone, it wouldn't know what to do and would mentally shut down.</span>" You do remember how the last anomaly you dealt with freaked out when you gave it mementos of the past. So, refuting what it stands for can be used to catch an anomaly off guard, huh?
"Mmh. Thank you for the tips. Speaking about anomalies. Benny?" You lean over to whisper to him while the others begin to chat among themselves. He leans over to listen to you. "Do you know anything about a TV MAN? Or something that talks over the Radio?"
His face scrunches up. "Does he wear a sky blue suit?" You nod. "Alright. I don't know much about him but I heard rumors of a man with that suit occasionally finding people to tell weird information to. <span class="mu-b">No one knows WHY he does it</span> but every single bit of info he gives is 100% accurate <span class="mu-b">even if it hasn't happened yet.</span> No one knows if it's an anomaly or something else." He leans away, turning to drink from his glass.
An ominous, mysterious thing is giving you information you shouldn't know about for whatever reason? Maybe you can try <span class="mu-b">talking to it later? It clearly responded to you before.</span>
"Mmh. So, sorry for being blunt but uh. Benjamin. When did you meet her?" You jab a thumb at Max. "Seems a bit weird for a Krakatoa to be dating down. No offense."
Adam spits out his whiskey at your remark while Ashley tries her best to hold back a smirk. Benjamin and Max look confused more than anything, as if they don't get the hubba.
"Uh." Benjamin's face turns redder than a cherry tomato. "I might've accidently bumped into her during a mission and-"
"I thought he was a cute dork that I could mess with." Max seemingly bounces right back from the slump she was in before. "We just so happened to meet during a mission involving, what was it, a princess and a hero?"
Benjamin's face only gets redder. "Let's just say it involved a night club and unspeakable activities going on in there <span class="mu-i">I don't want to discuss.</span>"
Your group shudders at the implication. Yeah, not going to ask.
"It went smoothly when we agreed to work together and, well, I realized he didn't know what my family name was so I wanted a change of pace, I suppose? The high life gets boring sometimes."
