You have stopped by a small town to regain strength. It has come to your attention that its citizens are concerned by something. You visited the town's mayor and have learned that the town is plagued by misfortune that seems to steadily increase in its intensity. The desperate mayor has hired your group to investigate the nearby forest for a possible cause of whatever is happening.

You haven't found anything in the first day, slept in the forest, and continued your trek until you came upon a sizable hole with clay stairs that does not seem to belong here. This might be worth investigating.
