.... an AI "Fairy" flying air superiority?
Yukikaze, is that you? Fighting against another formless alien horror I see...
<++Keep up the good work ! ! ! ++>
... also, if I'm making glaring errors like that next time just remind me as soon as you see it.
>>6237838The Harpy can only get good hits on their weapon batteries with two target locks.... which is exactly why I chose to fly Sabers. Few things are as satisfying as turning something with 50% chance to damage into guaranteed enemy destruction, afterall.
Turn 1: Harpy on the shield, Sentry on the hangar, Watcher managed to hit the bridge as per the actual fight. Raptor and Fairy destroyed the PD guns as per the actual fight. Raven would be free to strafe the primary battery.
Turn 2: Big Bird and Quicksand locking on HVC01, Harpy on the secondary battery, Sentry on the bridge, Dublin targets the Primary battery with his torps (he rolled a 4 in the actual fight so it would've hit regardless, but it's always better to reduce the margin of error), and Watcher destroys the Hangar.
... Didn't actually matter in the end given the two STEEPLE missiles deal 28 dmg in total; but in case we carried shield projectors or extra hangar clamps we'd just rendered a cruiser completely "deaf, dumb, blind, and impotent" as they'd call it... in two turns, after we've just bombed another into smithereens in the previous turn.
Or, in case we're aren't trying to overkill the cruiser after we know the the missiles are striking, one burst from Sentry into the drippled bridge, and one A5-B salvo for GSHP01 and GSHP02 each. Werewolf and Bullshark finish GSHP02, Raven strafes HVC01, leaving three Antares-ceptors against 1.5 enemy squadrons. Tabling in two turns.
... and apologies for my previous backseat-driver'ing.
