>>8090527I followed the "charge only when it's down to 10%" rule, but apparently something like "recharge at 20% and only charge to 90%" is better.
Either way, it's why it's last this long on its original battery. It only lasts about 5-8 hours if i use for anything but as a music player and as a music player i can play it nonstop for like 15 hours before runs out of juice. Shit like Pandora stopped being supported a few years ago, but they dropped in quality hard, like RealPlayer quality years ago.
I want to replace the battery, but I'm iffy about the longevity and safety of chinese replacement batteries from a decade ago. Plus, i don't know how to change anything out and most phone fixers don't advertise as knowing how to fix old shit.
Funny thing to note, I've met 2 doctors in the past few years that had my oldass iPhone. Apparently they care nothing for updating.
I didn't even know that they could still be in service. I switched to the totally high tech HTC way back long ago (and then went back to iphones again because), but kept my original iphone because it's STILL a great music player. Better than practically every subsequent iPhones.
