I quite like it. There actually is a wire around the throat, allowing for slight adjustments during posing. Definitely not for those that want dramatic cape shapes, but it drapes really well and doesn't look like it's made of cheap cloth. It feels like it's made of the type of cloth that you usually get bundled with new sunglasses or touchscreen devices.

I might post more pics tomorrow. I bet it would be possible with this cape to do pic related.

I have both the wired and the cloth cape; I much prefer the wired one because it comes ready to be placed on Guts. The cloth one does have the wire around the neck, but you have to bend it around the neck yourself, and it's quite a bit longer than the neck size so you get this odd-looking cape imo.

There's a lot of different materials to consider when making a plush. If you've never done it before I'd recommend starting with something like fleece because it's a good material that isn't very expensive. It's also pretty soft and makes an overall nice plush feel.

Most commissioned plush will use minky but minky is expensive at around $14~17 a yard. (and cannot be bought in places like Joanns, they have cheap knock off variants of it that rips apart)

But the most important part of making a plush is a pattern. Do you know how to make patterns? Because if you don't you're going to have a bad time.

80s kids just want to pretend their stuff is better. Much of what "stayed around" had to change so much it's only superficially the same. For every 1 old franchise revival that works, 5 other revivals fail. MASK only has a presence because IDW forces it. Thundercats revival failed so bad no toy company wants to bother. The downside is, Hasbro is sitting on COPS, Inhumanoids and many other better franchises they either started or bought out and won't revive, while Brian Goldner is so sure a second Jem movie will be a success- I wish I was kidding but he's producing it.

Ghostbusters tried the feminist controversy reboot that everyone hated, then was blamed on either misogyny or piracy rather than it being a shitty movie. Bill Murray hated the franchise AND he had a long-running argument with Harold Ramis that killed GB3 until it was so too late they had to voice a video game instead.

So many other brands are not only forgotten but the companies folded and the rights either passed around or got lost. I know it was never a great thing, but Robo Force deserves better than shitty Glyos toys in bad colors and off-model bodies.

It's detailed on an internet page somewhere that's easily searchable. But in a nutshell there was an actual projected 3D hologram, like in fucking star wars, that you could wave your hand through and shit, and they had working prototypes. They spent a fuckton of money on the R&D to make it happen and production costs would have been too high so the whole thing got canned.

I don't know if I truly believe this because here we are 30 years later and there still aren't actual 3D holograms on the market, but so goes the legend.
