Picrel is the unreleased variants. I knew they didn’t release the yellow jumpsuit but thought green came out at some point. It’s not a great figure by any stretch, can’t do many poses, and the accessories were done better with the later release Baxter. They’ll definitely redo her, so don’t bother paying ebay prices.

Pretty much, yeah. I remember having the April variants on order for the longest damn time before they were finally cancelled. And of course at the time nobody knew what was going on, least of all that Playmates was blocking everything.

She's a good figure still, more basic by today's standards though.

to my eye, her face is exactly as wide as one of her boobs in the comic panel. maybe a tiny bit less
the figure's face is significantly wider than either boob, perhaps by 50%.
it simply looks scaled up, especially with the rather long face with prominent cheekbones and strong jaw, features you would expect on an extremely tall supermodel pushing 6 feet.

No it isn't. Your eye isn't very good if you think that's the case. It's definitely not scaled up either. Her face is as long as it is in the comic with how she's drawn.

I overlaid the comic panel, matched their shoulders up exactly, and her head is significantly smaller. She also has much less of a long face, so on the right we have a somewhat corrected-proportion version, and then one where the eyes and bangs are moved down a bit to make a prettier face, more like she typically looks in the comics.

alternately, here I scaled her head down a bit but then made it proportionately wider. I think this looks the most natural while making the fewest changes. but I prefer April to have bigger hair than this.

You did a terrible job of lining it up, and that completely throws off whatever point you were trying to make. You're also not taking into account the weird foreshortening in the art. The adjustment does not fix anything, there was nothing that needed fixing to begin with.

as I recall, they asked eastman (the guy who admits he isn't as good an artist as laird) to draw them brand new april art for reference, since she looks different in every panel of the comic.
