people who do art spend hours and they get paid for their work someone who types words that connect like shitposts should not be compared to an artist not even mentioned in the same bracket because you know what, anyone can type the exact same shitpost but a person who draws a nice art piece cannont be copied no matter how hard your artstyle is a reflection of yourself and implenented in how you express your self on paper. ALSO if shitposting was art you would see shitposters actually getting paid for their work sense its regarded in that way but you will see a shit ton of artist getting paid for their work online and offline but no shitposters because it isn't a real skill.

The decision to axe BIONICLE was taken in early 2008, so 2007 definitely did something wrong.

Sets may have been cool, but the setting was dull and the canister sets of that year had... terrible canisters, phisically speaking. Add it the fact that they began recycling pieces (a terrible mistake for a very limited system like constraction is) and there you have it, the year that killed bionicle.

Got a source on that, captain? Why bother with the soft reboot, or the movie, or making prototypes of the element lords? I find it hard to believe they were just cutting their losses with nearly 2 years worth of sets and half of the winter wave for the year after. They could have ended it in 2008 and recycled the Glatorians for Hero Factory a year later, or better yet, just held off on constraction in general while they had CCBS worked out.

The majority of 2006's new elements were designed to create a parts library to make future sets easier to design, make customs easier for small kids, and reduce production cost by introducing fewer new molds annually. The whole point was to reuse parts. Not the fault of those in charge of creating the sets, they were making do with what they were given to work with.

Can't say I want to defend the Mahri packaging, but I always liked the angular Barraki cans, even if they must have been a pain to stack.

Could someone enlight me on the purpose of this character? Like, what was the point of him, why would any writer create a character like that.
He wasn't a good guy nor a villain, and there wasn't any purpose in killing off the Piraka like that and especially all that mystery around Zaktan was odd and amounted to nothing in the end. If the monster was actually an evolved Zaktan, that could've worked as a villain, but he had absolutely nothing to do with the creatures he was made from. I mean, I can understand most of Greg's autistic plotlines even if I don't like them, but this guy is still a giant mystery to me.

The only good serials greg did was Federation of Fear and the Mutran one. Maybe Destiny War but I can't remember it. Everything else is non-canon.

I'm wondering the same. As far as I know, the Lords were only planned as canisters sets but G1 was cancelled before the designers could whip up something. Same for the Bota Magna dinosaurs.

But a lot of big players in his serials weren't even sets. Just stuff he made up on the fly or previously mentioned non-set characters he decided to bring back for some reason. Only the 2007 serials really stuck to the concept of featuring sets that couldn't fit into the main story. After that, Greg gave up and the serials became his unfiltered "everything goes" fanfics.

Maybe he meant the Baterra? No idea if Lego ever made actual prototypes for those, but their sets evidently got pretty far in development, as they were featured in a couple of the exclusive comics.
