I know these threads have echoed this a thousand times but Prosciutto might be the single oddest choice out of all of La Squadra. A character only known for his stand and his partner and he ships w/ neither.

Remember that Golden Wind anime has only been exposed to the casual anime watchers but the manga has been out since 87 and Prosciutto's popularity is off the chart in Japan. In the old Shonen Jump there was a poll on who's their favorite antagonist of Part 5 and Prosciutto was voted number 1. Just check out yahoo japan's auction on statue legend and you can see how people are bidding crazy for Prosciutto/Grateful Dead.

Hey guys I'm pretty new here, I've been buying SAS figures since 2013 and I'm curious, why hasn't Medicos capitalized on the anime only fans at all recently?
I get some Golden Wind figures are getting restocked at absurd prices, but why didn't they do anything for Parts 1,2,3,&4 when they were the hot shit?
It seems like it'd be easy money for them.

I've seen people here call them a shit lazy company, is that truly the reason? I haven't kept up with the line too much I've just been buying them as they came out. Is Medicos really a shit lazy company?

I know this is titled the JoJo thread but it doesn't seem like there's another sas thread so I'll come here.
I picked up Izumi today for $50, which I thought was the standard price, but a trip to eBay and Amazon showed me he's anywhere from 70-100. Why do the prices on these figures go up so fast? Is it because of crazy demand?

Medicos is literally retarded. They won't even do 2.0's like most other companies are doing now. I'm always thankful for my near complete collection. Right now I'm only hunting for D4C and I'm probably going to have to put down a pretty penny if I ever find him.

Now these days in japan, most of the more successful toys line life span is around 8 - 10 years and usually when the toy reaches it's peak the company will start re-releasing all of the figures for one last time. Bandai's Kamen Rider Shfigureart, Ultra Act and Soul of Chogokin are a good example, now they have version 2 kamen Rider, Ultraman and Mazinger with better scales and designs and articulations. Same with Takara's Masterpiece Transformers, now they are dropping Optimus Prime Version 3 etc etc. Jojo Big was just their way of testing to see how the consumers will react to it and from that point they'll collect sales data to see if Big will make profits, it's pretty much a standard marketing strategy from any toy company, so no, Medicos ain't retarded or dumb.

Kind of since Gyro lacking Ball Breaker to me is a big deal and the paint apps even on the 2nd version made me wait on even ordering when I had a shot in AmiAmi. At least I got Diego and D4C since I'm playing the long game and I'm less mad about that before those crazy reseller prices came up for them.

that said, prosciutto's dialogue, visual design, shooting mista in the head 3 times, and stand (has the advantage of having cool clothing + a non-suit stand) make him wayyy more memorable
