Probably the same line then. I had the Gengar, Gastly, Raticate, Wartortle, all Gen 1 starters and a few others that I don't remember. The recent haul was Squirtle, Mew, Bulbasaur, Pikachu, Dragonite, Gyrados, Venusaur, Meowth and one squid dude with a translucent head and a box of mudkip Evo line.
Bit of a boomer so don't know the new gens, only played up till 4th.

Also these newer toys are amazing man. My squirtle looks like it jumped off the screen. I'm not a toy collector and these are the first toys I got since I was 13(???) way back when. Man these things have come far. I'll try to post a pic of new squirtle with the first Gen Squirtle.

That's Moncolle Buzzwole I believe. I think that's the only plastic figure of him we've ever gotten from any company. He would make a sweet Shodo release.

Local bookstore in India. They have a toy section but it's typically bootleg or older toys. I didn't even know these figures were still being made by Tomy. Really enjoying the line but I heard it has been discontinued? I'll probably try and collect my favorite mons, the ones I'm really looking for are Magmar, Alakazam, Primeape, Victreebell, Totodile line and Cacturne. Don't really know much about later gens but I might play them again. Could you guys suggest some mons to buy figures of from each Gen after 3.

It definitely hasn't been discontinued, but fewer and fewer stores outside japan have carried them since the end of the 90s, especially in the west. You can see the current line catalogued on the japanese tomy site. Judging by what you found at your store they probably got their stock recently, so it's possible that they'll have more new figures as they release.

They're like the moncolle series, the whole gimmick of scale world is what the name says, pokemon scales. So you'll end up with some really tiny ones like Pidgey or Eevee or some much larger ones like Feraligatr or the legendary dogs

Pic related isn't my collection (i just really liked this setup) and the gyarados isn't part of the scale world line

If you aren't super strict on scale, stick to Moncolle. Scale World is insanely expensive for their size and very hard to get with so many exclusives.

That price is really low for new moncolles. Ordering from japan, I have to pay anywhere from 6 - 12 USD depending on the figure, plus horrific shipping fees. Your figures don't look like bootlegs either, your store owner might have some hookup that throws them in with something else he carries.

Nah... The rates aren't decided by the store owner, Tomy decides the prices. I think you end up paying so much because aftermarket plus shipping to usa. They would probably be way cheaper if they actually sold at your local stores.

We used to but kids just don't play with toys anymore. We'd actually get a lot of toys before usa and Europe. I remember some of the Yu-Gi-Oh and beyblades releasing here before usa. Sadly the toy market is kinda dead. Parents just buy their kids shitty mobile games. I used to spend hours playing with motu, gi joe, kener batman and bootleg Street sharks. We used to hike up this local hill and renact predator with the joes and a cheap venom who'd act as a substitute for predator. Kids these days don't do that

I live in the US. I would give a nut to be able to walk into ANY local store and find Moncolle like that. You're pretty much destined to either overpay online or drive to LA/NY to find reasonably priced figures here.

Yeah I feel the same. Do you know the names of any local stores that carry them in NY? I don't exactly live close, but I could do a road trip someday and pick up a bunch if I knew where to go.

I don't know of any personally. I've been told though that you can find them in those areas if you look hard enough. This anon here >>8897273 said he knows some stores in the socal area which I'm guessing would be the LA major area. He might be able to give you some exact addresses in that area.

look for Mauya or Tokyo Lifestyle, but it's mostly shelfwarmers from gen 7. The only places i knew that had a full shelf was Japanvideogames/JBK but stopped mid gen 7. and apparently a place called Anime Monster in Santa Ana, but i havent been there in years

I'll go on Monday. The store is closed today cus of Easter and I'm not in town this weekend. They are pretty much out of figures and I don't think they'll be restocking anytime soon.
