I grew up mostly in Europe with a few years in Canada mixed in, my army men experiences were largely with Airfix and Matchbox WW2 soldiers. I still value those guys more than any other, don't find them that often but they're the highlight of any random mix of army men found in a thrift store or on kijiji (pic very related). My first Timmee soldiers were in '95 with the release of Toy Story, got one of those Bucket-o-Soldiers produced at the time using the unchanged Vietnam soldiers. Years later when they re-did the bucket for Toy Story 3 they redid all the poses, found that surprising when I got one but I guess they didn't want to license with Timmee again.
