>>8988215I'd make a case for the first appearance of Master Chief in Mega form being in 2011's Floodgate set, two years before the first Halo 4 sets. The Spartan from Floodgate is third from left in pic; it was the only one to come in that faded olive rather than the dark green that was the norm for those first few years, and the set itself is a specific Halo 3 reference.
Incidentally 2nd from left is the first "official" Master Chief, from the Cryo Bay set; 1st from left is Master Chief from Halo Heroes Series 1 (first time they added 117 to his chest); fourth from left is the cracked visor Master Chief from the Attack Gausshog.
