I'll rag on Lionel all day long, but plastic battery trains are just ways to swindle clueless or cheap parents and 3 year olds, no matter the brand.
This is $120 right now, and it's going to be useful exactly once. But the actual O set is like $400, never mind the cost to make a real G scale one, and so people who don't understand why model trains are expensive get shit. I blame the consumer.
