No company wants to produce prototypes and not sell it, yet that's what you need to pretend is happening. McFarlane Toys is too small of a company to throw money away like that.

BBTS had this stuff up for preorder and guess what happened? Canceled. Various MegaBlok products have gotten canceled the same way too. If they don't get enough orders, they can't produce a line.
McFarlane is more than capable of producing multiple toylines at the same time and any company would LOVE to be selling multiple types of toys. All this is done at various factories in China. They can lease or build factories to produce whatever they want, as long as they get enough order.
