Had a test with Mr. Crystal Color Amethyst Purple on a piece (not Gunpla admittedly but as it was spare and was absolutely perfect for testing on, why not). Sprayed it over GX Ueno Black, thinned with just a touch of Rapid Thinner (might try Levelling Thinner next time) and then clearcoated with GX Super Clear II Gloss. Thought I'd fucked up the clearcoat by using Rapid Thinner, but misting Levelling Thinner over the piece solved the problem completely. Anyway, this stuff is fantastic- gonna have to run some more tests to see if I can get it to do the "black with a purple shimmer" look rather than just dark metallic purple, but I'm extremely impressed, especially with the clearcoat.
