And even as a kid I knew the tv show was never going to live up to the books because there was no way you could get that shit on daytime television for kids, and the effects were never going to be good enough - this was Beast Wars days, effects weren't nearly good enough for it. Ax looked dumb as hell in motion. What I don't get is the other guy calling it cancer.
Like, it was a long run of books that spawned a shitty tv show and like, a game or two that nobody even remembers, and has never been revived since. Far as I'm aware people don't even really talk about it much. It's just generally well-remembered by the people who actually did read it. So I guess I don't get the vitriol up there. But apathy, that I get. It was a weird-ass series with weird-ass shit in it, the kind of fucked up kids sci-fi the likes of which you likely won't ever see again.
