First up if you don't remove the rubber bands at the front it'll derail pretty easily (The ones in the center are fine). Also there's a pretty noticeable gap between the segments to allow it to go through the curves, but there's a few guides available online that provide an easy fix that fills the gap while allowing it to go through curves.
