Mattel teased a gorgeous line of vintage-clothed Princess of Power dolls in 2016, but apparently only the male GenXer He-Man fandom could support toys in the absence of a show.
The important part is that they had nice realistic faces on super-articulated 12" bodies, not that the outfits were vintage. So something like this could still be done for a reboot.
