>>9989385>The old ones were fine toys, on the whole well built and definitely hand candy, but they were clearly toys. Are you a newfag or is it more playing dumb like
>Oh no! People liking toys you don't! Le gasp!People back then were pretending that stuff like that looked great and if you don't like it, you're a racist.
Back then, people were pretending you can't have a good sculpt AND have great articulation (or just weeaboo logic of everything else is shit), which is still what's going on today with the ugly engineering.
>The toy industry will ALWAYS be learningIt's a shitty excuse that has been used for too long. Since the 90s, there's no excuse for bad sculpts. Since the mid-00s, there's no excuse for sub-par articulation. Not everything needs to be Revoltech levels (mostly because that looks ugly), but i think everyone has a minimum standard. My own preference is above DCUC.
When that engineering is getting in the way of the sculpt, to make it look like a busy transformer, it's too much.
I stopped buying DBZ figures because of how ugly this is. Too much weird shit going on, and the benefits are nonexistant or barely any.
