There would always be a miniature city in a shelf in my room as the actual current colony, with my room as the main planet, rest of the house was a solar system (Living room TV the sun, little brothers room was a separate society dealing with their own shit unless we were at war) and outside was explorable -as-fuck outer space.
Shit was crazy when I got lego star wars for Christmas, and recall at one point I even set up a kaiju war against the interdimensional horrors of the k'nex
