I hear all these horror stories about klocki cracking from just sitting around being looked at, and maybe it's because the majority of my pieces were made before 2000, but I don't think I've ever had a part just spontaneously crack; it's always been because of stress. Do you have a lot of temperature variation, or do you display pieces where the sunlight can shine on them?
For the record, I live in northern Minnesota, but my Lego room is on the second floor so the temperature is almost always between 60-75 F (20-25°C), there is almost no natural light because the windows are blocked out, and the humidity tends to be extremely low.
