The vehicles itself wasn't really one of my favorites, but was the first small set to come with a huge number of Battle Droids.

Chima had six enjoyable episodes. The story felt like it was written for 5-6 Y olds.

i still hate myself for not buying this. For capefag it can be a bad hilarious set (because "not a good buy for muh collection") but for lego addict
1) it has two useful hose-pieces
2) that beard-hair peice is fucking cool and its great to have it in one small set + mandarin probably has a unique cool face print under that beard
3) finally an Iron Man figure in smallest set because im not getting big or average set because of him him
4) those wheels with yellow parts
5) those green pieces
and just some amount of classic bricks and little but useful technic pieces

this set might be a hilarious joke but i'd buy it if it was in stores right now

there are generic tropes of shitty cartoon for kids.
Nexo is still the same show about annoying kids.

What i liked in chima is that it never had characters that are 100% EBIL666 XD like in typical shows like Nexo/Ninjago.
It was so refreshing.

In chima all conflicts usually made because of misunderstanding or intolerance just like in real life. No SUPPA BAD VILLAIN XDDD or some shit like that.

And there are some factions that are totally neutral. Like Crows for example, that care only about money and their own benefits.
So they can make fun of both - good and bad guys just because they want to.

Also there are some fractions with their own weird rules. Like Eagles that are big nerds that live in the sky castles. Nobody can reach them so they don't really have the same laws and rules like tribes that live on land.
For example in Eagle castles everything is for free because only eagles can use their own stuff.
And it caused some big troubles when Crows found that Eagles having such a stupid law and basically took all their stuff "because it's for free which means i can take it" which made Eagles question their logic.

Even wolves are not technically "Eeeevil". They just chaotic neutral tribe of Mad Max esque riders.
Even Scorpions/Spiders/Bats are not super villains. They just want chima just like other people, but they not "real tribes" because they were created by an accident so their only way to have Chima Cristals is to get them by force.
At the end of the ebin battle lion just gives Scorpion chima cristal for free and it ends everything.

The only evil guy is that Sabretooth Tiger but he appears at the very last season when it all just ends in a big epic battle.

Nexo Knighs look both stupid and generic. With shitty dumbass villains and plot TWISTS like this:

The original idea of real tribal minifigs wearing animal masks that gave them powers was better.

Gorillas were my favorite tribe. Second were crocs. Still mad they never made Crunkett or that cool raven eagle hybrid

Speaking of patches, i found a few less subtle but pretty neat patches on an ebay store called 'TOYS & GAMES Iron-on Patch Collection - Sets of Patches Too! Video Games & More'

Serious question. If you're that mad about stickers in modern sets then why not just not use them or do your own MOCs from old sets. I find myself pretty much only buying new stuff for new parts and if its a set I like. I really hope lego never changes a damn thing about City to cater to AFOLs because they need kids buying fire trucks and helicopters to keep the company afloat. Without City and for a short while longer somehow ninjago, the entire company depends on Disney licenses.

I pretty much never post here on /lg/, but my issue with stickers is twofold. The first reason is that I'm something of a perfectionist when I build with Lego. I need every piece to seat perfectly, and I need to minimize gaps when I can. Therefore, when I'm building things with stickers, I feel compelled to place each sticker as perfectly as I can, and that does not necessarily mean centering the stickers. Oftentimes, stickers are meant to extend brick-built lines, and as such, you need to bias the sticker placement perfectly. Stickers make building sets a lot more difficult for people like me, who break out the x-acto knife in order to place them just right.

My bigger problem with stickers is that they're not available digitally, and I do essentially all of my prototyping on LDD. I really like to make small-scale cars, but official Lego releases, like Speed Champions, from which I should be able to take inspiration, are heavily reliant on stickers in order to evoke small details. For my purposes, those sets are rendered almost useless. Just build yourself a Speed Champions set and don't use any of the stickers, it'll look bloated and generic.

Wojtuś is a Polish name - from Wojtek. It's the character I have created to interact with kids on Lego workshops I do.
Kids love it because they never know what will happen next.

Wojtuś is also a race of creatures.
If you want to make your own you need that face (or any 1x2 brick face). The name of your Wojtus needs to start on W (or V), and it needs to corespond to ONE POWER your Wojtuś has.

From Left:
Wojenka - Mistress of martial arts
Wowtuś - Based somewhat on adorable Gondola meme. Master of being amazed by everything and saying wow.
Grandpa Wojtuś - Rumors say it's a Wojtuś from the future. He can't hear well and preffer to sleep than do stuff. He is master in playing football.
Woyage - Adventurer that loves to know everything about everything. It often mixes stuff when talking about his adventures however.
Original FIRST Wojtuś - The master of ???. He can do everything. He is interdimensional. He is PERFECTION

Wojtuś mother - The first Wojtuś (???) - The mother of every Wojtuś in existence. Wojtuś are born from their mother when someone shares creative thought. They are personification of that thought.Every Wojtuś posted in /lg/ orginates from her.

Nice, but there's one thing I'd change. Use some tiles for the red decorations on the bridge, not plates. It looks a bit weird to me when all of the other decorations are smooth and those are "bumpy".

I really only come visit /toy/ now. I stopped feeling interested in other boards. Lego General is just all the right comfy I ever wanted in a community. I'm grateful for all you anon's in this thread. I can't even think of the right words to describe just how enjoyable my time has been on this thread for the past year. I've come to realize that Brasso is only necessary for really tough prints. For most CMF prints, including the space guy, all you need is a crumbly eraser and a piece of tape with paper underneath to protect the rest of the printing around it. Just make sure that the sticky part of the tape doesn't touch the printed areas.

Im honestly sweating now... i think i might threw them out. Or may be (i hope) not when cleaning "storage room".
I live in a small apartament and can't find them anywhere. And if i can't find them - they don't exist in this specific apartament...
I remember being happy of getting 2 sets for cheap back in 2012 and that i own not only one but TWO red dragons.
I'm going to kill myself if i actually lost them...

This one's better for most pieces, but notice how the tape pulled some of the printing off the mouth, which is why I now recommend using paper under the tape to protect the printing because modern printing has gone to shit and wears off easily. I did a light heresy on Monday night with the tape-and-paper method and it worked fine.

If we're sharing personal stories, I've been coming here for years, since my Dark Ages ended, but I mostly lurk. I'm hardly the anti-meme guy but /lg/ has a tendency to start repeating itself after awhile, I suppose as the thread population gets fixated on something. Like krocki or earlier this year people making Dr. Strangefigs, etc. I tend to take a break for a month or two until /lg/ is on to their next new thing. Or if there are new sets out, which is always a good time to pop back in.

At first they were a counterpart to the Futuron sets, and the "Black" seemed to denote secrecy, as their theme was about spying like they were some kind of black-ops space NSA. The promo images in catalogs and flyers showed Blacktron and Futuron working hand in hand. Plus - only total degenerates will be buying brickarms stuff.
I mean - look at what LEGO IS. Lego is about non realistic/non historical/non shitty CallofDuty-style themes
Its about nexo knights, cyber furries, pirates in the sky and stuff like that.

None of these would accept some shitty realistic WW2 weapon.
Lego already has a wide variety of weapons + you can MAKE YOUR OWN.

So i see brick armsfags as some /pol/ fags that buying their stuff to make some WW1/WW2 builds. Which is...quite a minority.

None of my minifig-characters will look with realistic gun from Planet Earth history.

I wish I'd done a better job protecting my old figures. A lot of damage was done when I was young, then again when I was convinced to hand off my collection to my young brother. I remember being so pissed later when I saw what he'd done to some of them, but frankly I can't blame him any more than I can my young self. It's just kids.

I've pieced together as much as I could and salvaged figures. I've got a fair sized tub of pieces I dig through every now and then trying to sort. My favorite find was my old Willa the Witch.

Well from what we've had in the show, her Knight weapon was probably a hammer...
Still, it's my Head Cannon that the Queen is a stranded Ice Planeteer, and Knighton's sudden bizarre surge in Nexo tech was due to her introducing it into an otherwise medieval setting.
