Most of the ones I have apart I keep in here.
The rest are mostly in sets or mocs I have on display, although I do have a row of custom figs on the top shelf of a bookshelf.

You can get one of these at Home Depot and Lowes for about 15-20 bucks, and they come in a variety of sizes.
This one works exceptionally well for my purposes.

I would also like to introduce my new Minifig part storage solution.
So far has been very helpful, and I'm still only locating minifig parts I have mixed in with my other bricks, a good first step in sorting my collection.
I highly recommend anyone to journey on over to your closest Home Depot/Lowes/other supply place and buy one of these:

There are ones with different sized mini-containers if you want to sort yours differently. I just sorted mine similar to how Bricklink and Build-A-Minifigure Stands do.
