If you love fantasy shit and want to actually play with your Lego, the castle is top notch. Maybe consider the Blacksmith set too which is about half the price of the castle while having roughly the same sort of footprint and design as one of the Modular sets.
If you want scifi, or you're not specifically tied to wanting a building, do what
