>>9836235Yes and no. For me, Lego is relaxing, fun and I really like the old artwork and style of 90s sets. To me, there's something innately comforting about Lego, it has a lot of good childhood memories.
Although, when I'm bored and browsing online, I find myself get into this mode of consooming where I enjoy the "hunt" of finding things and ordering them, when I really don't need them. Lego takes up a huge amount of room and I often don't like how much space it's taking from me to own. So I try to sell things I don't love. Lego is something really easy to hoard because everything has a use, because at the end of the day, it's all usable bricks for anything. But at a certain point, it starts feeling like a chore and nuisance.
Average house where I live in $600k, buying Lego has no effect on my retirement. All my money in savings and stocks this year has lost significant value, meanwhile all my lego sets doubled in value. That also makes it easier to justify spending money on and becoming a hoarder.
