Could lego had a chance to make an action figures line if they didnt go with Galidor?
I personally think that Lego fucking sucks at making/designing humans and just regular good guys for action figures line.
You can see that by Nu-Bionicles that sold like crap. But i personally think it was all fault of really really bad design choices. Only few bad guys had better deisgns and useful pieces.
Most of others had the "girl from Star Wars" syndrom when it looked boring so even builders didnt buy it.
As for Galidor - it was just a bad design choice overall. Everything looked so goddam ugly and horrible in a hilarious way.
I think if Lego would use strong appealing designs it could win with it.
PS:
It also blows my mind that we having ugly star wars ball and socket figures these days and its like the last coffin to this type of figures.
It IS NOT the problem of this whole "balls and sockets" connection figures but boring SW-characters like Luke/Finn/That regular girl that keep shelfwarming hard.
I think Lego just going through some serious UNLUCKY choices that only adds problems to such theme.
