>>10925533This dwarf was my favourite as a child, he was basically just gimli and would lead the charge to defend against orcs trolls, skeletons and evil knights, I’m still not sure how I’m incorporating him and my other dwarves into my new castle lore exactly but they definitely will be part of it.
>For example, how you justified using your castle minifigs along with your pirates sets or other anachronisms 8 yr old you didn't bother aboutI do that with my current lotr, the “pirates” are from a foreign country to the south where technology is a little more advanced on average, and it’s warmer and more maritime so they wear less armour, likewise the northern foreigners are vikings with somewhat lower tech level. Each “country” has different monsters, the vikings basically just have the mythically inspired old Vikings theme monsters, the castle-y kingdom have dragons and orcs + trolls, the southern land has sea monsters like sharks and anglerfish, I also want to give them octopuses and giant crabs (some of which will be domesticated and ridden) but I don’t have the cephalopods or crustaceans yet, I might try making my own in studio and getting bricks off of an alternative brand. Skeletons are a potential threat everywhere from black magic users but are most common in the south where there are more witches, not all of whom are necessarily bad
