>>10724835>>10724841I mean, considering the name never went beyond the original script and was never mentioned at all in the final movie, plus she never gets to actually transform (the in-universe excuse being that she's from WW2 and has a busted transformation cog; real reason most likely being lack of budget to animate an underwater battle between her and a giant pissed off mechanical wyvern), I wouldn't be surprised if 'Nautica' was just a placeholder name they were using up until they scrapped the idea of using her as anything more than a mode of transportation; as it is, the concept art looks more like Sea Spray to me than anything remotely resembling Nautica in any incarnation. Then again, there's plenty of bots in the films who don't look anything like their usual selves, so who knows? It died on the cutting room floor, so we'll likely never know.
